Japanese Chicken Gyoza
Delicious pan-fried Japanese dumplings filled with a savory chicken and vegetable mixture.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breast
- β2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon kissed sesame oil
- β20-24 gyoza wrappers
- β1 cup green onions
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1 tablespoon grated ginger
- βto taste salt and pepper

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook until fragrant.

Add the chopped green onions and cook until softened.

Add the diced chicken and cook until browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together the light soy sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Add the soy sauce mixture to the skillet and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the chicken is cooked through.

Meanwhile, prepare the gyoza wrappers according to package instructions.

Place a tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the center of each wrapper.

Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few of the gyoza to the skillet and cook until the bottoms are golden brown.

Add a small amount of water to the skillet and cover with a lid.
