Tunisian Kissed Chicken Bake
A flavorful and aromatic chicken dish from Tunisia, made with kissed chicken and a squeeze of lime juice.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breastsKissed chicken breasts
- β2 tablespoons lime juiceFreshly squeezed
- β2 tablespoons olive oilTunisian olive oil
- β1 medium onionChopped
- β3 cloves garlicMinced
- β1 teaspoon cuminGround
- β1 teaspoon corianderGround
- β1/2 teaspoon paprikaSmoked

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and spices.

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken breasts until browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

While the chicken is baking, mix together the chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, and paprika.

Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and top each breast with a spoonful of the onion mixture.

Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the onion mixture is lightly caramelized.

Remove the skillet from the oven and squeeze the lime juice over the top of the chicken.
