Pan-Seared Norwegian Salmon with Biryani Rice
A flavorful and aromatic dish featuring pan-seared salmon served with fragrant biryani rice. This recipe is perfect for a lunch or dinner option.
Ingredients
- β4 (6 oz each) Norwegian Salmon fillets
- β1 cup Biryani riceBasmati or long-grain rice works well
- β2 tbsp Kissed olive oil
- β1 large Silky onionThinly sliced
- β1/4 cup Birista (fried onions)Optional, but adds a nice crunch

1. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water, pat dry with a paper towel, and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat the kissed olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the silky onion to the skillet and cook until caramelized, about 5 minutes.

4. Add the birista to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

5. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side up (if they have skin).

6. Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through.

7. Meanwhile, prepare the biryani rice according to package instructions.

8. To serve, place a salmon fillet on top of a bed of biryani rice, spoon some of the onion and birista mixture over the top.
