Spanish Turnip Empanadas
A delicious twist on traditional empanadas, filled with tender turnip and Spanish flavors. These empanadas are perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- ●2 medium Turnip
- ●1 package Spanish Empanada DoughStore-bought or homemade
- ●2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- ●1 clove GarlicMinced
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out the empanada dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

In a pan over medium heat, heat the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.

Add the diced turnip to the pan and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Place a tablespoon of the turnip mixture onto one half of each empanada circle.

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little water and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
