Venezuelan Cheese Quesadillas
A delicious and classic Venezuelan dish made with melted cheese and crispy tortillas.
Ingredients
- β8 oz Cheese (Queso Fresco or Mozzarella)Shredded or crumbled
- β4-6 Tortillas (Corn or Flour)Large or extra-large
- β2 tbsp Butter or OilUnsalted butter or vegetable oil
- βto taste Salt
- β Optional: Chopped Fresh Cilantro or Scallions
Instructions

1. In a large frying pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter or heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat.

2. Place a tortilla in the pan and sprinkle shredded cheese on half of the tortilla.

3. Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the cheese.

4. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.

5. Flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also crispy.

6. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and cheese.

7. Cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve hot with your favorite toppings.
