Smoky Buddha Bowl
A flavorful and nutritious bowl filled with smoky tofu, steamed vegetables, and a sweet and spicy sauce.
Ingredients
- β250g smoky tofumarinated in soy sauce, maple syrup, and smoked paprika
- β2 tsp sichuan pepperground
- β1 buddha's hand citronzest and juice
- β150g brown ricecooked
- β200g steamed broccolisteamed
- β20g wall nutschopped
- β2 tbsp soy saucelow-sodium
- β1 tbsp maple syrupgrade A
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Wrap the tofu in a paper towel and bake for 20 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, and smoked paprika. Brush the mixture on the tofu and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, steam the broccoli until tender.

In a small pan, toast the wall nuts over medium heat until fragrant.

In a separate pan, mix together the buddha's hand citron zest and juice, and sichuan pepper. Cook over medium heat until fragrant.

To assemble the bowls, place a scoop of brown rice on the bottom, followed by the steamed broccoli, baked tofu, and toasted wall nuts. Drizzle the buddha's hand citron and sichuan pepper sauce on top.
