Pan-Seared Fish with Chinese Vegetables
A simple and flavorful dish featuring pan-seared fish with crunchy vegetables and a hint of Chinese spices.
Ingredients
- β4 fillets fishany white fish works well
- β2 tbsp chinesechinese five-spice powder
- β1 cup kookykooky crunchy carrots, sliced
- β1 cup crunchycrunchy zucchini, sliced
- β2 tbsp shuishui soy sauce
- β1 tsp zhuzhu sesame oil
Instructions

Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Season the fish with chinese five-spice powder.

Add 1 tbsp of sesame oil to the pan and sear the fish for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tbsp of sesame oil to the pan, then add the sliced carrots and zucchini.

Cook the vegetables for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften.

Add the soy sauce to the pan and stir to combine.

Return the fish to the pan and serve with the vegetables and sauce.
