Ethiopian Lentil Stew
A hearty, comforting stew originating from Ethiopia, made with red lentils and a blend of aromatic spices. This recipe is perfect for a post-hangover meal to help your body recover.
Ingredients
- β1 cup (soaked overnight) Lentil
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2-inch piece, grated Ginger
- β1 teaspoon, ground Cumin
- β1 teaspoon, ground Coriander
- β1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- β1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, turmeric, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 1 minute.

Add the soaked lentils and 2 cups of water, and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.
