Croatian Stew
Delicious and hearty Croatian stew made with lentils, light and flavorful broth, and a touch of stew spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Lentils
- β4 cups Light broth
- β2 tsp Croatian stew spices
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black pepper
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 medium Carrots
- β2 medium Potatoes

Heat the light broth in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the Croatian stew spices, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the lentils, carrots, and potatoes. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.

Check the lentils for doneness. If they are still too firm, continue to simmer for another 15-20 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or thyme if desired.
