Mochi and Oats Japanese Breakfast Bowl
A Japanese-inspired breakfast bowl with mochi, oats, and a hint of light flavor.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Glutinous rice flour
- β1 cup Rolled oats
- β2 cups Water
- β1 tablespoon Sugar
- β1 teaspoon Green tea powder
- β1 cup Light coconut milk
- β4 pieces Mochi

In a large mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and rolled oats.

Gradually add in water and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.

Shape each piece into a ball and then flatten into discs.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Cook the mochi discs for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

In a separate saucepan, warm the light coconut milk over low heat.

Add sugar and green tea powder to the coconut milk and stir until dissolved.

To assemble the breakfast bowl, place a cooked mochi disc at the bottom, followed by a scoop of oats.
