Slovakian Dumplings with Wild Garlic
A hearty and flavorful Slovakian dish featuring wild garlic and homemade dumplings. Perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Slovakian flour
- β1 bunch Wild garlic leavesChopped
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 cup Water
- β2 tbsp Butter
- β1/4 cup Lovely leaves (fresh parsley)Chopped
- β1 package Light dumpling mixtureFollow package instructions
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Combine the flour and water to form the dumpling dough.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place the dumpling circles in the boiling water and cook for 5-7 minutes.

While the dumplings are cooking, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chopped wild garlic leaves and cook for an additional minute.

Once the dumplings are cooked, remove them from the water with a slotted spoon and add them to the pan with the garlic and wild garlic.

Stir in the chopped lovely leaves and cook for 1 minute.

Serve the dumplings hot with the garlic and wild garlic sauce spooned over the top.
