Traditional British Shepherds Pie
A classic comfort food dish from the UK, made with ground meat, vegetables, and mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 medium Carrot
- β1 cup frozen Peas
- β2 cups Mashed Potatoeswarm and fluffy
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the diced onion, carrot, and peas to the pan and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Sprinkle the flour over the top and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the meat mixture.

Dot the top with butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.
