Loukoumades Tres Leches
A creative twist on traditional Mexican tres leches cake, incorporating the sweetness of Greek loukoumades. Fermented honey adds depth to this dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 package (about 20 pieces) Loukoumades
- β1 cup, fermented Honey
- β1 can (14.4 oz) Heavy Cream
- β1 can (12 oz) Evaporated Milk
- β1 can (14 oz) Condensed Milk
- β1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- β2 cups Powdered Sugar
- β1 tsp Cinnamon
- β4 tbsp Unsalted Butter

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Pierce the loukoumades with a fork to allow syrup to penetrate.

In a large saucepan, combine honey, heavy cream, evaporated milk, and condensed milk.

Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and the honey is dissolved.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

Place the loukoumades in a large baking dish and pour the tres leches mixture over them.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the loukoumades are golden brown.
