Spiced Pork Gyoza
A fusion twist on traditional Japanese gyoza, filled with spiced pork and served pan-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1/2 pound Ground pork80% lean
- β20-24 wrappers Gyoza wrappersavailable at most Asian markets
- β2 tablespoons Light soy sauceoptional for serving
- β2 inches Gingergrated
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons Sesame oilfor pan-frying
- β2 teaspoons Soy saucefor filling
- β1 tablespoon Sesame seedsfor garnish
- β1/4 cup Green onionschopped, for garnish

1. Preheat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil.

3. Add the soy sauce mixture to the ground pork and mix until just combined.

4. Lay a gyoza wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center.

5. Brush the edges of the wrapper with a little water and fold the wrapper into a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

6. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

7. Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in the preheated skillet and add the gyoza, seam-side down.

8. Pan-fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the gyoza are golden brown and crispy.

9. Serve the gyoza hot with soy sauce and sesame seeds for garnish.
