Spiced Chicken Tagine
A flavorful North African-inspired chicken dish made with aromatic spices, served with tender chicken and a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs chickencut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 teaspoons ground cumin lightly spiced
- β1 teaspoon ground coriander vietnamese
- β2 tablespoons olive oil tagine
- β1 large onion, chopped onion
- β3 cloves garlic, minced garlic
- β1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon cinnamon
- β1/4 teaspoon ground ginger ginger
- β2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice lemon juice
- β1 tablespoon honey honey

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.

Remove chicken from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and ginger to pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add chicken back to pot, along with lemon juice and honey.

Cover pot and transfer to oven.

Bake at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
