Smoked Tagine Potato Gratin
A rich and creamy French-inspired gratin featuring smoked tagine-spiced potatoes. A perfect side dish for any occasion.
Ingredients
- ●3 large sweet potatoespeeled and thinly sliced
- ●2 tsp taginesmoked spice blend
- ●1 tsp livelyherb, chopped
- ●1 tsp jamaicanallspice, ground
- ●2 tbsp butterunsalted
- ●1 cup gruyèregrated

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large saucepan, combine sliced sweet potatoes and enough cold water to cover.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Drain sweet potatoes and set aside.

In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add tagine, lively, and jamaican, and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add grated gruyère and stir until melted and smooth.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of sweet potato slices.

Pour some of the tagine-gruyère sauce over the sweet potatoes, then repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the gratin is heated through.
