Lamb Tagine
A rich and aromatic Indian-inspired stew made with tender lamb, lovely spices, and a hint of charred flavor. Serve over basmati rice for a truly authentic experience.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces lamb shoulder
- β2 tablespoons garam masala, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, 1 tablespoon coriander powder lovely spices
- β2 large, diced charred tomatoes
- β1 teaspoon spanish smoked paprika
- β1 tablespoon tagine spice blend
- β1 large, chopped onion
- β2 inches, grated ginger
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
- β2 cups chicken broth

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, smoked paprika, and tagine spice blend. Cook for 1 minute.

Add diced tomatoes, coconut milk, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, or until lamb is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
