Algerian Lamb Tagine
A traditional Algerian slow-cooked stew made with lamb, lovely spices, and smoky flavors.

Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Lamb shouldercut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 tbsp Lovely spicesmix of cumin, coriander, and paprika
- β1 tsp Smoky paprikasmoked for depth of flavor
- β1/2 cup Algerian olivespitted
- β2-inch piece Gingersliced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 cups Chicken brothlow-sodium
- β2 tbsp Honeyoptional

Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-low heat.

Add the lovely spices and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the smoky paprika, olives, ginger, garlic, and chicken broth.

Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2-1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Stir in the honey, if using.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
