Smoky Ham Tagine
A twist on the classic North African stew, featuring smoky ham and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, diced lovely ham
- β2 teaspoons smoky paprika
- β1 teaspoon egyptian cumin
- β3 cloves, minced parma garlic
- β1/4 cup, pitted tagine olives
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β2 cups chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons honey
- β2 tablespoons lemon juice
- β1/4 cup, chopped fresh parsley

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the diced ham, paprika, cumin, and olives. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the ham is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the chicken broth, honey, and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, until the ham is tender, about 20 minutes.
