Marmite Crème Brûlée
Rich Marmite-infused custard base topped with a caramelized sugar crust in individual ramekins.
Ingredients
- ●2 tsp Marmite
- ●1 cup sugar
- ●4 large eggs
- ●1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- ●.5 tsp bake
- ●.25 tsp salt
- ●2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ●fresh fruit for garnish luscious
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale yellow.

Add Marmite, heavy cream, and salt to the bowl; whisk until well combined.

Pour the mixture into 4-6 ramekins and place them in a large baking dish.

Add hot water to the baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly jiggly.

Remove the ramekins from the baking dish and let them cool to room temperature.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Just before serving, sprinkle a thin layer of sugar over the top of each ramekin.

Caramelize the sugar with a kitchen torch or under the broiler.

Garnish with fresh fruit and serve chilled.
