Classic British Lamb Stew
A hearty and comforting lamb stew recipe inspired by traditional British cuisine. This dish is perfect for a cold winter's night.

- β1.5 kg Lamb shoulderBone-in

- β3 CarrotChopped

- β2 cups British stewHomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup Red wineDry
- β2 cups Beef brothLow sodium

- β1 tsp RosemaryFresh

1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

2. Sear the lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

3. Remove the lamb from the pot and set it aside.

4. Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

5. Add the chopped carrot and potato to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes.

6. Add the red wine, beef broth, thyme, and rosemary to the pot.

7. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.

8. Return the lamb shoulder to the pot and cover it with a lid.

9. Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and braise the stew for 2.5 hours.
