Korean Vin Santo Hwajeon
A fusion dessert combining Korean hwajeon with Italian Vin Santo. Crunchy rice flour pancakes served with caramelized Korean honey and an Italian dessert wine reduction.
Ingredients

- β1/2 cup Water
- β1/4 cup Korean Honey
- β1 cup Vin SantoItalian dessert wine
- β2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
Instructions

Combine rice flour and water in a bowl to form a smooth batter.

Heat coconut oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.

Using a ladle, pour the batter into the pan to form pancakes.

Cook the pancakes for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

In a small saucepan, heat the Korean honey over low heat until caramelized.

To serve, place a pancake on a plate and drizzle with caramelized honey and Vin Santo reduction.

To make the reduction, boil Vin Santo in a saucepan until reduced by half.

Serve the hwajeon with the Vin Santo reduction immediately.
