Braised Mushroom Stew
A hearty and comforting stew made with sautéed mushrooms and tender beef.
Ingredients
- ●1 medium, chopped Mellow Onion
- ●1 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes Braised Beef
- ●1 cup, sliced Mushroom
- ●2 tablespoons Canadian All-Purpose Flour
- ●1 teaspoon Stew Seasoning
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
- ●2 cups Beef Broth

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown beef on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté onions until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start browning, about 5 minutes.

Add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add broth, browned beef, and seasonings. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
