Slovakian Blackcurrant Galette with Italian Twist
A refreshing dessert that combines the sweetness of blackcurrant with the tanginess of citrusy flavors, all wrapped up in a crispy Slovakian galette crust.
Ingredients

- ●1 cup Fresh blackcurrantsor substitute with other berries
- ●2 tablespoons Citrus zestfrom oranges or lemons
- ●2 tablespoons Mellow honeyor substitute with other types of honey
- ●1 tablespoon Jamoptional for added sweetness

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the Slovakian galette dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

In a bowl, mix together the fresh blackcurrants, citrus zest, and mellow honey.

Spread the blackcurrant mixture evenly over the center of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Fold the edges of the dough up over the filling, pressing gently to seal.

Place the galette on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving. If using jam, drizzle over the top of the galette before serving.
