Sweet Dutch Endive Gratin
A rich and creamy side dish featuring sweet endive, topped with a nutty dutch cheese.
Ingredients
- ●2 large endiveseparate into individual leaves
- ●1 cup shredded dutch cheesesuch as gouda or edam
- ●3 cloves mellow garlicminced
- ●1 small sweet onionthinly sliced
- ●2 tbsp butterunsalted
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Arrange endive leaves in the prepared baking dish.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until softened.

Stir in shredded dutch cheese until melted and smooth.

Pour cheese mixture over endive leaves.

Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
