Beef Melted Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Ethiopian cuisine, made with tender beef and a rich melted sauce.
Ingredients
- β500g beefcut into 2-inch cubes
- β1 tablespoon meltedchopped fresh melted herb
- β2 tablespoons stewstew spice mix
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 can, 14 oz tomatodiced
- β1 cup wateras needed
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the stew spice mix and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomato, water, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, until the beef is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.

Stir in the chopped melted herb and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with additional melted herb if desired.
