Midnight Portuguese Almond Pie
A traditional Portuguese pie made with almonds and a rich midnight filling, perfect for a sweet dessert.
Ingredients

- β1 cup portuguese cookiescrushed
- β1/2 cup sugargranulated
- β4 eggslarge
- β1/2 cup buttersoftened
- β1 tsp vanilla extractpure

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval.

Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the sugar mixture and mix until smooth.

Stir in the sliced almonds and crushed cookies.

Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.
