Filipino Sisig with Haricot Beans
A twist on traditional Filipino sisig using haricot beans for added texture and nutrition. This recipe is a flavorful and spicy dish that's perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- β1 can (14 oz) Haricot beans
- β2 cloves Mildminced garlic
- β2 tbsp Smokypatis (fish sauce) or soy sauce
- β1 tsp Filipinoground black pepper
- β1 cup Sisigpork sisig or pork belly, diced
- β1-2 Chili pepperssliced, optional
- β1/4 cup Green onionschopped, for garnish
- β2-3 Lime wedgesfor serving

In a pan, heat the patis or soy sauce and black pepper over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the diced pork sisig or pork belly and cook until browned.

Add the sliced chili peppers (if using) and cook for another minute.

Stir in the haricot beans and cook until heated through.

Season with salt to taste.
