Briny Dutch Carnaroli Rice Pilaf
A flavorful rice pilaf dish infused with the brininess of Dutch cheese and the mild taste of carnaroli rice.
Ingredients
- β1 cup carnaroli riceItalian short-grain rice
- β2 tbsp mildly flavored oile.g., olive or canola oil
- β1/2 cup, crumbled briny cheesee.g., Dutch Gouda or similar
- β1/4 cup, grated Dutch cheesee.g., Edam or similar
- β1 medium, diced onione.g., yellow or white onion
- β2 cloves, minced garlicoptional, for added flavor
- β1 tsp pilaf seasoninge.g., dried herbs like thyme or rosemary

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
