Turkish-Style Lamb Kofte
A flavorful and savory Turkish dish made with lamb kofte, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground Lamb
- β1 medium Onionfinely chopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β100g Bulgur
- β2 tbsp Tomato Pastecrushed
- β2 tbsp Olive Oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- βchopped Parsleyoptional

Preheat oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, bulgur, crushed tomato paste, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Do not overmix. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

When ready to cook, use your hands to shape the mixture into small oval shapes, about 5cm (2 inches) long and 2.5cm (1 inch) wide. You should end up with around 20-25 kofte.

Place the kofte on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each kofte.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the kofte are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
