Pan-Seared Pork Gyoza
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring pan-seared pork gyoza with a tangy dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β20-24 wrappers Gyoza Wrappersavailable at most Asian markets
- β2 tablespoons Sesame Oilfor pan-frying
- β2 tablespoons Soy Saucefor dipping sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sour Creamfor dipping sauce
- β1/4 cup Chopped Scallionsfor garnish
- β1 tablespoon Grated Gingerfor dipping sauce

1. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat.

2. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the soy sauce, sour cream, and grated ginger to the pork and stir to combine.

4. Lay a gyoza wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center.

5. Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

6. Fold the wrapper into a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal the gyoza.

7. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and pork mixture.

8. When the oil is hot, add a few of the gyoza to the pan and cook until they are golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.

9. Flip the gyoza over and cook until they are crispy on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes more.

10. Serve the gyoza hot with a dipping sauce made from the soy sauce, sour cream, and grated ginger.
