Sweet Bao Bites
Delicate Japanese-inspired bao filled with sweet treats. A perfect dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- ●1 package Mildly sweet doughstore-bought bao dough
- ●1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- ●1 tsp Elderflower extractoptional for extra flavor
- ●1/2 cup Bao filling (sweet bean paste or red bean paste)
- ●1 tbsp Confectioners sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Unroll the bao dough and cut into small squares.

Place a small spoonful of bao filling in the center of each square.

Fold the dough squares into triangles and press the edges to seal.

Place the bao bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow the bao bites to cool before serving.

Optional: Drizzle with elderflower extract-infused glaze (1:1 elderflower syrup and powdered sugar mixed).
