French Berry Tart
A classic French dessert featuring a buttery pastry crust topped with a sweet and tangy berry filling.
Ingredients

- β1 sheet Tart PastryStore-bought or homemade
- β8 oz Minty Whipped CreamOptional, for garnish
- β1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- β1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- β1/2 cup Unsalted ButterChilled and cut into small pieces
- β1 Large EggBeaten
- β1 pinch Salt

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the tart pastry and place it in a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, flour, and salt.

Add the cold butter to the bowl and use a pastry blender or your fingertips to work it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press the mixture into the tart shell, making sure to evenly cover the bottom and sides.

Bake the crust for 18-20 minutes, or until it is golden brown.

While the crust is baking, prepare the berry filling by washing and hulling the berries.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and a pinch of salt.

Once the crust is ready, let it cool slightly before pouring the berry filling into the shell.
