Revani (Turkish Semolina Cake)
A traditional Turkish semolina cake, moist and flavorful, perfect for a sweet treat. Revani is a classic dessert in Turkey and the Balkans.
Ingredients
- β1 cup semolina
- β3/4 cup moist sugar
- β1/4 cup brown sugar
- β1/2 tsp turkish
- β1/2 cup revani
- β2 eggs
- β1 cup milk
- β2 tbsp butter

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together semolina, moist sugar, brown sugar, and turkish.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and melted butter.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Pour in the revani and mix until smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
