Korean-Style Pan-Seared Mandu with Date Reduction Sauce
A sweet and savory twist on traditional Korean mandu, served with a rich date reduction sauce.
Ingredients
- β12 pieces Mandu
- β1/2 cup, pitted Dates
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1-inch piece, grated Ginger
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Brown sugar
- β1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- β1/4 cup, chopped Green onions

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the mandu and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Transfer the mandu to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

In the same skillet, add the dates, soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
