Spaghetti with Songpyeon Crunch
A sweet and savory fusion of Korean and Italian flavors. Crunchy songpyeon adds a delightful texture to traditional spaghetti.
Ingredients
- β12 oz Spaghetti
- β1 cup Songpyeoncrushed
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tbsp Sugar
- β2 tbsp Sesame oil
- β1 tsp Soy sauce
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1/4 tsp Grated nutmeg
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.

Add Korean chili flakes and cook for 1 minute.

Add crushed songpyeon and cook for 2-3 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Add soy sauce and sugar, and stir to combine.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the sauce is caramelized.

Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.

Drain spaghetti and add to the pan with the songpyeon sauce.
