Tunisian-Style Pork Tagine
A fusion of Chinese and Tunisian flavors, this dish is a hearty and aromatic pork tagine that will leave you wanting more.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tbsp tunisiantunisian spice blend
- β2 tbsp moltenmolten honey
- β1/4 cup nuttychopped almonds
- β1 large onion, sliced
- β3 cloves garlic, minced
- β1 tsp ginger, grated
- β2 tbsp soy sauce
- β2 tbsp rice vinegar
- β2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the pork and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the tunisian spice blend, molten honey, and soy sauce. Stir to combine.

Add the sliced onion and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

Add the sliced almonds and cook for 1 minute.

Cover the pot and transfer it to the oven. Cook for 1-1/2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
