French Nigiri Malt Crust Tarts
A unique dessert combining French pastry with Japanese nigiri for a delightful fusion. The malty crust adds a rich flavor.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups Australian wheat flourGluten-free type
- β1/2 cup Monsoon sugarGranulated
- β1 tablespoon Malty malted milk powder
- β1/4 cup Nigiri rice flour
- β1/2 cup Butter
- β1 Egg
- β1/4 teaspoon Monsoon salt
- β1 tablespoon Water
- β2 tablespoons Monsoon milk

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Combine flour, malted milk powder, and salt in a bowl.

Add butter and use a pastry blender to mix until crumbly.

Add egg and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes.

Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter to make shapes.

While baking, mix nigiri rice flour and water to make a paste.
