Moroccan Sellou with Umami Boost
A twist on the traditional Moroccan Sellou, this recipe adds a deep umami flavor to the chewy, sweet dessert.

- β1/2 cup Almondschopped
- β2 tablespoons Coconut oil
- β2 teaspoons Sellou spice mix
- β1 teaspoon Umami powder
- β2 tablespoons Honey
- β1 cup Water

In a large saucepan, combine dates, almonds, coconut oil, sellou spice mix, and umami powder.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and the dates are fully broken down.

Add honey and water to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
