Spicy Korean Shrimp Mandu
A spicy twist on traditional Korean dumplings filled with succulent shrimp. Perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β20-25 wrappers Dried Mandu wrappers
- β2 tablespoons Mustardy Gochujang saucestore-bought or homemade
- β1 teaspoon Energizing Sesame oilfor brushing mandu
- β1 tablespoon Fluffy All-purpose flourfor dusting
- β1/2 teaspoon Goong Korean chili flakesoptional, for added heat
- β1/4 teaspoon Haeng Korean saltoptional, for added flavor

1. In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat.

2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

3. In a large bowl, mix together cooked shrimp, gochujang sauce, sesame oil, Korean chili flakes, and salt.

4. Lay out the mandu wrappers and place 1-2 tablespoons of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper.

5. Brush the edges of the wrapper with water and fold the wrapper into a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal.

6. In a large pot or steamer, bring water to a boil and add the mandu. Steam for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.

7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
