Croatian Crab and Manteca Croquettes
A twist on traditional croquettes, incorporating Croatian flavors and crustacean delights. Perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 (8 oz) block, crumbled Croatian manta cheese
- β1/2 cup Manteca (pork fat)
- β1/2 cup, flaked Crustacean crab meat
- β1/2 cup Mwholesome all-purpose flour
- β2 Emulsify eggs
- β1/4 cup Crumble breadcrumbs
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

1. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbled manta cheese, manteca, and flaked crab meat.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and a pinch of salt.

4. Add the flour mixture to the cheese mixture and mix until just combined.

5. Crack in the emulsify eggs and mix until the mixture is uniform.

6. Stir in the crumble breadcrumbs.

7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

8. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

9. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croquettes are golden brown and crispy.
