Uruguayan-Style Smoked Turkey Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with smoky Uruguayan sausage, tender turkey, and a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, sliced Uruguayan Smoked Sausage
- β1 1/2 pounds Boneless, Skinless Turkey Thighs
- β1 (14.5 oz) can Canned Diced Tomatoes
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 cups Stew
- β1/4 cup Red Wine
- β1 tsp Chili Powder
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1. In a large Dutch oven, brown the sliced Uruguayan smoked sausage over medium-high heat.

2. Remove the cooked sausage from the pot and set aside.

3. Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

4. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

5. Add the turkey thighs to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

6. Add the canned diced tomatoes, stew, red wine, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the pot.

7. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.

8. Return the cooked sausage to the pot and continue to simmer for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through.
