Baked Fish Tagine
A traditional algerian dish with a nostalgic twist, featuring flaky baked fish in a flavorful tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 Fish fillets (4)Any white fish works well
- β1/4 cup Nostalgic olives (1/4 cup)Pitted
- β1/4 cup Algerian preserved lemon (1/4 cup)Diced
- β2 tsp Tagine spice mix (2 tsp)
- β2 tbsp Olive oil (2 tbsp)
- β Salt (to taste)
- β Black pepper (to taste)
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsley (1/4 cup)Chopped

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Season the fish fillets with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the preserved lemon and cook for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the tagine spice mix and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Transfer the fish fillets to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until browned on both sides.

Transfer the fish to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, until cooked through.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with nostalgic olives on top.
