German Cheese Gratin
A classic German-inspired cheese gratin, rich in flavor and texture. This dish is perfect for a cozy evening with family or friends.
Ingredients

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, combine the sliced potatoes and enough cold water to cover them. Bring to a boil, then drain.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of potatoes. Top with a layer of the onion mixture, followed by a sprinkle of grated cheese.

Repeat the layering process until all the ingredients have been used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
