Tunisian Fish Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African-inspired stew made with tender fish, aromatic spices, and a tangy briny sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Fresh Fish (4 fillets)White fish (cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi works well)
- β2 tsp Tunisian Spice BlendA mix of warm spices (cumin, coriander, cinnamon)
- β1/4 cup Briny Sauce (lemon juice, garlic, and olives)Adjust to taste
- β2 tbsp Olive OilFor cooking
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/4 cup Dried ApricotsChopped
- β1/4 cup Fresh ParsleyChopped

Heat the olive oil in a large clay tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the Tunisian Spice Blend and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the briny sauce, dried apricots, and chopped parsley. Stir to combine.

Add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
