Malaysian Charred Chicken Stir Fry
A flavorful and aromatic stir fry dish featuring charred Malaysian chicken, served with a variety of vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Chicken breastCut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1-inch piece GingerGrated
- β1 Red bell pepperSliced
- β1 cup Snow peasSliced
- β2 tablespoons Malaysian chili sauce
- β1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Fish sauce
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken to the wok and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and swirl to coat.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the wok and stir-fry until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the sliced red bell pepper and snow peas to the wok and stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.

Return the cooked chicken to the wok and stir in the Malaysian chili sauce, soy sauce, and fish sauce.

Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir-fry for another minute.

Transfer the stir-fry to a serving platter and serve immediately.
