Polish Pierogi with Mushroom Cream Sauce
A hearty and comforting dish from Eastern Europe, featuring homemade pierogi filled with a rich mushroom cream sauce.
Ingredients

- β2 cups mushroombutton or cremini
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup sour cream
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β2 tablespoons butter

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pierogi according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
