Beef Bouillabaisse Italiano
A creative twist on the classic French bouillabaisse, with Italian flavors and beef as the main ingredient.
Ingredients
- β500g Beef (braising steak)Cut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 large OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β400g Canned tomatoes
- β250ml White wine
- β500ml Beef broth
- β2 tsp Italian seasoning
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black pepper
- β1 packet Bouillabaisse (French soup mix)Follow instructions on packet for mix
- β4 slices Crusty breadFor serving

Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the canned tomatoes, white wine, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.

Add the bouillabaisse mix to the pot and stir to combine.

Simmer for another 30 minutes.

Serve hot with crusty bread on the side.
