Dutch Pork Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew inspired by Indian cuisine, made with tender pork and a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds pork shouldercut into 1-inch cubes
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingergrated
- β2 medium tomatodiced
- β2 teaspoons dutch stew seasoningadjust to taste
- β1 can coconut milkfull-fat
- β2 cups wateradjust to desired consistency

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the pork and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the pork from the pot and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger.

Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced tomato, Dutch stew seasoning, and browned pork back to the pot.

Stir to combine and add the coconut milk and water.

Bring the stew to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, until the pork is tender, about 1.5 hours.
