Beef Stew
A hearty Norwegian-style beef stew made with nourishing ingredients.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef Stew MeatCut into 1-inch cubes
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 medium CarrotsPeeled and chopped
- β2 large PotatoesPeeled and chopped
- β2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- β2 cups Beef Broth
- β1 cup Red Wine
- β2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the beef cubes, then remove from pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped carrots and potatoes, cook for 5 minutes.

Add the flour, cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef broth, wine, and tomato paste, stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pot, bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to oven.

Bake at 300Β°F for 2-3 hours or until the beef is tender.
